Lessons Learned…

Superbowl LIX was last night. The 2024-2025 Football season has come to a close. The Philadelphia Eagles are the Superbowl Champs… and it was a butt whoopin. Let’s be honest, we haven’t seen a butt whoopin like that since the election.

Now that Football season is over, I am taking time to reflect on the lessons I have learned personally during this season.

You see, some lessons are learned in school. Reading, Writing, Arithmetic.

Some lessons are learned at places of worship. Jesus loves the little children, all the children of the world. Red and yellow, black and white, they are precious in his sight. Jesus loves the little children of the world.

Some lessons are learned by trial and error. Like never buy single ply toilet paper.  Don’t trust a fart after eating Taco Bell. Donde esta el bano? is the most important phrase to know when traveling to Mexico.

Lessons are learned in all facets of life.

Football season is no different…

This Football season I learned a lot about myself. Some good and some bad.

I learned that I am not a good gambler. I went 4-11 on Draft Kings Sportsbook this season. Not good at all. Hell, the only bet I won during last nights Superbowl was the coin toss. (Tails never fails)

I learned that being a Carolina Panthers fan is the equivalent of being kicked in the nuts by your kid over and over again. It sucks… but you still love the kid.

I learned that I am not the only fan who pumps themselves up before the season starts only to ride the rollercoaster of being absolute garbage sauce to showing glimpses of hope. Shout out Barstool Sports: Pardon My Take.

What do you do with the lessons you learn?

You take time to reflect on those lessons. Improve on areas that need improvement. Apply the learned knowledge to situations that may happen in the future to avoid making the same mistakes.

I currently have 194 days to reflect. Improve in areas that need it. To be better.

I will come back stronger…
