Last week, I let you in on my New Year Resolution of reading 12 books in the year 2025. (even though I sometimes struggle reading books written for children)
I figured, I might as well give you all of them…
1. Be More Intentional With Relationships
I’ve got friends (in low places) both personal and professional. But, I have a bad habit of not taking the time to truly enjoy those friendships and almost take them for granted. I’m a terrible texter. If I miss a call, I may not return it until the next day. I can do better.
2. More Date Nights With Leanna
Two kids, busy schedules, and other obligations can seem to get in the way of date nights. Leanna and I have been married 10 years (probably seems more like 50 to her) at the end of this month. Yea, we go on dates, but it usually has a time constraint, because we have to get back to the boys. It’s time to (for lack of a better term) ditch the kiddos and start dating.
3. Days with Owen and Hudson
I know, I just said I was going to ditch the kiddos and start dating. But I also want to be a better dad to the boys. Take them to a ball game, park, Chick-Fil-A. This also has a perk… giving the best mom in the world a break.
4. Read 12 Books

5. Walk/Physical Activity For At Least 30 Minutes A Day
Lucky for me, I have access to two treadmills at the office (thanks to Hannah and Brooklyn). I don’t really have an excuse to not get a good walk in. (Although, I will make them I’m sure)
6. Make Healthy Choices With Diet
Let me be honest… McDonalds, Wendy’s, Taco Bell, Cook Out, and The Lords Chicken(Chick-Fil-A) are some of my favorite places on this planet to eat. I worked in sales for six years and it was easy and convenient to stop by one of those establishments and get a bite to eat. If I don’t want to look like the male version of Mama June, I need to make this change. I’m a lucky man who has a wife that can cook. If that wasn’t the case, I’d be screwed with this one.
7. Drink A Min Of 100oz Of Water A Day
I may be heading to the restroom every 30 min, but that is a risk I am going to have to take.
8. Lose 20 Pounds
Back in the year 2006, I was 145 pounds of twisted steel and sex appeal. I haven’t sniffed that number since then. That being said, getting down to 145 pounds again is out the window. I was at that weight when I wrestled in high school and got that low doing some pretty unhealthy things.
This go around, I am turning to one of my favorite WCW/WWE Wrestlers, Diamond Dallas Page… DDPY. I have a plan and going to stick to it, to the best of my ability.
9. Reduce Mindless Screentime
We are all addicted to our phones…Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and the recently dead… then revived TikTok. Cutting back on the screentime will not only keep me from turning into a zombie, but will probably help with some of the resolutions listed above.
10. Learn More About Content Creation
This Blog is the start. I’ve posted videos in the past but got burned out. This go around, I’m going to take my time and learn as I go. Who knows what’s next?
So… There you go. If you made it this far, Congratulations! You have just read probably the most boring blog you will ever read.

What can I say? I’m just getting started…
